We are revolutionizing the pet industry and are looking for a Lead Animal Care Attendant to join our pack at the Canine Fitness and Fun Center. This role requires a confident, compassionate, and capable individual to help guide daily operations. If you are the go-to person for pet advice and can manage various tasks simultaneously, this role is for you. Destination Pet is more than just a pet care center; it's a community dedicated to enhancing the lives of pets and their families. Since 2016, we have provided comprehensive pet services including daycare, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services, aiming to make pets feel at home and their owners feel at ease.

Requirements

• Obsession with animals and a demonstrated passion for their well-being.
• Previous work experience in animal care.
• Medication administration experience.
• Ability to lead by example in all aspects of animal care and facility maintenance.
• Calm demeanor under pressure, especially in challenging situations.
• Confidence in guiding and supporting teammates.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and handle leashed dogs for most of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to work with cleaning supplies, pet hair, and potential pet accidents.

Nice To Haves

• Med-savvy or CPR trained.
• CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Leading the pack during assigned shifts, coaching, guiding, and setting the tone for pet care excellence.
• Working alongside Animal Care Attendants to ensure safety, cleanliness, and a positive environment for pets.
• Training new hires on proper pet handling, procedures, and facility protocols.
• Monitoring pet guests for health, safety, and well-being, reporting any concerns to management.
• Serving food, fresh water, and providing daily care to all pet guests.
• Overseeing medication administration and care for special needs guests.
• Bathing and brushing pet guests.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility, ensuring a pleasant environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
