About The Position

Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to the ADW Career Navigator team while also delivering case management and career counseling services to customers. Support and assist in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement, while ensuring team performance, quality, and compliance with program requirements. The Lead ADW Career Navigator ensures team accountability, quality case management, and seamless delivery of workforce and partner services across multiple programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Career Navigator or in a related workforce development role.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Florida Workforce Professional Certification Tier I required (must be completed within 30 days of employment).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Human Resources, or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and team lead for ADW Career Navigators, providing day-to-day guidance, support, and oversight.
  • Mentor and train new and existing Career Navigators on best practices, program requirements, and case management standards.
  • Monitor team caseloads, performance metrics, and contract compliance; escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to ensure alignment with program goals and customer service standards.
  • Collaborate with management to identify process improvements, training needs, and strategies for increasing overall team effectiveness.
  • Provide individualized assessment of work, family, and personal development needs and opportunities.
  • Determine program eligibility and accurately complete required documentation for enrollment.
  • Build professional one-on-one working relationships with customers to assist in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment.
  • Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed.
  • Encourage customers to participate in and follow through with planned activities as outlined in the contract.
  • Oversee customer activities and assist with workshop schedules.
  • Create solutions to customer attendance problems.
  • Maintain organized database of customers and keep detailed documentation of all contacts.
  • Maintain customer files as specified by CSCR.
  • Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies.
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive case management follow-up and retention services, ensuring that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract and accommodating customer schedules.
  • Document all participant contacts and activities in case progress notes.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed.
  • Ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract.
  • Work with the team on implementing processes that increase customer engagement.
  • Operate at the Career Center or in the community as needed.
