Lead Advance Practice Provider, OBGYN - Temple Faculty Practice
About The Position
The Lead Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) is an integral member of the healthcare team, qualified through academic and clinical education to provide patient care services under the supervision of staff physicians. The role includes clinical and administrative responsibilities within the clinic. The Lead APP oversees clinical operations, ensures adherence to best practices, and manages administrative duties. The role also contributes to planning and training new PAs and NPs. All responsibilities are subject to approval by the Medical Staff Board. The Lead APP reports to the Director of APPs and is accountable to the supervising physician and the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field.
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and a Master of Science in Nursing.
- Two years of experience in a clinical specialty as a CRNP or PA.
- General experience with Epic.
- PA Medical Physician Assistant license or PA Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner credential.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate degree (DNP preferred).
- Two years of experience in healthcare leadership.
