About The Position

San Juan College is seeking a well-qualified and highly motivated individual for this full-time Lead Admissions Recruiter role. This position performs specialized duties in support of the college’s student recruitment and admissions functions. This role serves as a lead recruiter responsible for assisting with large-scale events, and supporting strategic enrollment goals though enhanced engagement and event planning. Some evening and weekend work is necessary for completion of the job duties of this position.

Requirements

  • An associate’s degree is required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in recruitment, admissions or related field preferred.
  • Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of New Mexico for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
  • This position may require that you utilize your own personal vehicle or have the ability to rent a vehicle from a college approved vendor.

Responsibilities

  • Visits area high schools and organizations to recruit students, dual credit students and promote San Juan College.
  • Coordinates and conducts campus tours.
  • Engages with prospects during recruiting and admissions outreach campaigns.
  • Interacts and engages with potential recruits and tracks prospective student interest.
  • Performs ongoing outreach to prospects who are not advancing through enrollment funnel.
  • Supports the Admissions Director in planning, developing, and executing strategic recruitment initiatives.
  • Coordinates and facilitates large-scale recruitment events, including college fairs, community outreach events and on-campus group tours.
  • Assists in the processing of prospect cards, student applications, required documents and high school transcripts.
  • Assists director in reviewing and updating social media and web content platforms to ensure relevant, timely and accurate information.
  • Collaborates on recruitment marketing strategies, including CRM campaigns, social media engagement and communication planning.
  • Assists in development of logistics, communication plans, and post-event follow-up strategies.
  • Tracks and reports recruitment data and event outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
  • Builds and maintains partnerships with high schools, community organizations, and internal departments.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
