About The Position

For over 35 years, Yorktel has been the video managed services partner around the world for some of the largest business and government agencies. With over 10,000 video systems under management worldwide – more than any other video communications service provider – Yorktel has the proven expertise and global reach to deliver enterprise-quality visual communications. Yorktel is currently seeking a Lead Account Engineer who is a team member of a Client Dedicated Service Delivery Organization. The Lead Account Engineer will apply his or her industry knowledge, experience, interpersonal skills technical and administrative techniques to coordinate activities to implement visual communication solutions for their dedicated Client. The purpose of this role is to ensure Yorktel has engineering expertise and representation with Client in coordination with On-Site Technical Services Manager. In addition, the Lead Account Engineer will be the highest level of escalation within the account for troubleshooting by On-Site Technicians which includes following up with vendors & OEMs to track down solutions and fix potential issues in the environment. Will also be relied on for field deployment and ensuring proper onboarding of new rooms/locations in client environment

Requirements

  • The candidate must have the ability to travel as required. May require site visits to customer location(s)
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and employees.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to York Telecom policies and procedures.
  • Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area
  • International travel may be required
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license is a requirement and must have a positive driver’s abstract.
  • Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts
  • Must be willing to apply for security clearances, suitability, and other related clearance to be able to work at certain customer locations
  • 5-10 years of experience in AV Engineering Field.
  • Has a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals necessary to implement AV systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Current valid U.S. Passport is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry working experience in Project Management, Engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: Technical implementation of Managed Video Services, Knowledge of Video Conferencing, Managing and Building Service Offerings.
  • Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: Audio Visual Solutions including Videoconferencing, Multimedia, Distance Learning, Facility coordination or Networking systems.
  • CTS, Crestron DM Certified Designer, Cisco VC & Polycom VC Endpoint Sales Engineering, Biamp VoIP & Tesira Forte and Extron AV Associate Certifications are Desired.

Responsibilities

  • The role of the Lead Account Engineer. This will entail internal and external review and coordination of new deployments and global upgrades or firmware pushes from client IS team that would impact new services. and managing a Client from Sales through implementation and on-going service. Any potential impacts will be coordinated with Yorktel Sales/Program leadership
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including on-site technicians, application engineers, project managers and Integration Managers and technical leads to ensure engineering oversight and direction to ensure Client Engineering Standards are being met, and future engagements are being considered
  • Collaborate with the Sales/Program teams on account health, upcoming opportunities, and customer pain points.
  • Ensure team is onboarding new Conference Rooms and client assets per client established SOPs including the deployment of Yorktel room monitoring software on a global deployment
  • Attend QBR meetings with Clients as specified.
  • Be the SPOC for any Cloud / Managed Services Client Engineering escalations, manage the escalations and deliver the updates to the Yorktel Service Delivery team for communication
  • Assist with SOP’s with Client Engineering Team for delivery of current and upcoming standards
  • Report to Customer Success Manager
  • Other duties as assigned
