About The Position

The Lead A Shift position is responsible for reporting and following up on SSOP issues in a timely manner. The lead will fill in as necessary for breaks, emergencies, and absenteeism, which may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for any position in the area. The role may be subject to rotation and requires performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Adherence to all department safety rules is mandatory.

Requirements

Willing and able to obtain proper forklift licensing for Freezer Department.
Willing to perform other tasks as assigned.
Basic computer knowledge to perform data entry and utilize company email.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to work with team members and management.
Capable of learning all positions in the area.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Able to work without direction and be self-motivated.
Able and willing to go into the warehouse.
Adhere to all Safety rules and wear required PPE when on dock and or in warehouse.
Willing to lift up to 50 lbs.
Minimum of 1 year lead experience in a poultry processing or related industry.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
