About The Position

The Lead A Shift position is responsible for overseeing a team in the warehouse freezer department. The successful candidate will be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing as needed. This role involves filling in for breaks, emergencies, and absenteeism, and may require rotation and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Adherence to all department safety rules and wearing required PPE are mandatory. The position also requires basic math skills and the ability to work without direct supervision and be self-motivated.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to obtain proper forklift licensing for Freezer Department.
Must have basic computer knowledge to perform data entry and utilize company email.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to work with team members and management.
Must be capable of learning all positions in the area.
Position also requires basic math skills and the ability work without direct supervision.
Must be able to work without direction and be self-motivated.
Must be able and willing to go into the warehouse.
Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs.
Minimum of 1 year lead experience in a poultry processing or related industry.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

Report and follow-up on SSOP issues in a timely manner.
Lift, bend, push, pull, walk and stand as required for any position in the area to fill in for breaks, emergencies, and absenteeism.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Abide by all department safety rules.
Adhere to all Safety rules and wear required PPE when on dock and or in warehouse.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
