About The Position

As a LD Coating Operator at BASF ECMS, you will be responsible for ensuring coating slurry and raw substrates meet required specifications. You will start equipment to transfer slurry to the coater machine, set scale limits and pump operation pressure for proper slurry supply, and enter production information into the computer for lot packages, downtime sheets, and SAP. You will follow work instructions and specification sheets, setting and controlling coating machines to regulate speed, flow of chemical slurries, and temperature of drying ovens to meet customer quality requirements. Additionally, you will utilize work instructions to troubleshoot coater systems, clean and maintain coating machines and associated equipment, and properly complete administrative entries. Your role will also involve loading or packing substrates, using a forklift to maneuver parts/materials, and screening parts for quality issues.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED, required
2 or more years of manufacturing production work related experience, required

Nice To Haves

2 or more years operating machines, preferred

Responsibilities

Assure coating slurry and raw substrates meet required specifications, starts equipment to transfer slurry to the coater machine.
Set scale limits and pump operation pressure to assure proper slurry supply to coating machine.
Enter production information into computer for lot packages, downtime sheets and SAP.
Follow work instructions, and specification sheets, sets and controls coating machines to regulate speed of coating, flow of chemical slurries, and temperature of drying ovens to maintain specified customer quality requirements.
Utilize work instructions to guide and troubleshoot coater systems and make appropriate adjustments to assure proper coater operation.
Clean and maintains coating machines and associated feed tanks, plumbing and pumps.
Properly completes administrative entries associated with coater operations such as Process Lot Tickets, standard process control charts and other operations forms.
Load substrates onto a line or packs substrates into boxes.
Utilize a forklift to maneuver parts/materials in the area.
Screen parts for quality issues.
