About The Position

As a Coating Operator, you will perform tasks on various coating machines. You will assure coating slurry and raw substrates meet required specifications, and start equipment to transfer slurry to the coater machine. You will set scale limits and pump operation pressure to assure proper slurry supply to the coating machine. You will enter production information into the computer for lot packages, downtime sheets, and SAP. You will follow work instructions and specification sheets, and set and control coating machines to regulate speed of coating, flow of chemical slurries, and temperature of drying ovens to maintain specified customer quality requirements. You will utilize work instructions to guide and troubleshoot coater systems and make appropriate adjustments to assure proper coater operation. You will clean and maintain coating machines and associated feed tanks, plumbing, and pumps. You will properly complete administrative entries associated with coater operations such as Process Lot Tickets, standard process control charts, and other operations forms. You will load substrates onto a line or pack substrates into boxes. You will utilize a forklift to maneuver parts/materials in the area. You will screen parts for quality issues. You will troubleshoot skills within their assigned process. You will demonstrate the ability to handle multi-task assignments. You will be willing to work with minimal supervision and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations while performing tasks which may require multiple steps.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Manufacturing and or production work related experience, preferred
  • Experience operating machines, preferred
