Lay Coach - Soccer Head Coach
About The Position
Carver Middle School is seeking a Lay Coach for Soccer. This position is for a Head Coach. Supplements for cleared and hired lay coaches are paid as a one-time payment upon completion of activity and satisfactory inventory, after a sport/season has concluded. In order to become a new Lay Coach for Lake County Schools, an applicant will have to apply and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). In addition to certification fees, there are costs associated with becoming a Lay Coach which will have to be paid by the applicant prior to being approved for hire (subject to change).
Requirements
- Must apply and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
- Applicant must pay associated costs for certification, fingerprinting, drug test, and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification prior to being approved for hire.
- Must be able to provide proper and applicable documentation for Veterans' Preference if claiming.
- Must comply with background screening requirements as per House Bill 521.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Head Coach for the Soccer team at Carver Middle School.
- Complete activity and satisfactory inventory after the sport/season has concluded.
- Apply and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
