About The Position

Under general supervision of Head Coach, Athletic Director and Principal. The Head Coach - Girls Soccer is responsible for carrying out the aims and objectives of the sport program as outlined by the head coach and school administration. This role involves instructing athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy, and physical training necessary to achieve individual and team success. The coach must have a thorough knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Governing Board and is responsible for their implementation. They must also be aware of existing school district, state, and regional regulations and implement them consistently. The coach is expected to understand and follow the proper administrative line of command, referring student and parent requests or grievances through the correct channels, and attend required meetings. Administrative duties include assisting the head coach in scheduling and providing transportation for tournaments and special events, preparing for scheduled sport events or practices, adhering to scheduled facility times, and coordinating the program with maintenance and school employees. The coach must also provide necessary documentation to the athletic director regarding physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility. In terms of equipment and facilities, the coach is accountable for all equipment, collecting costs for lost or unreturned items, arranging for the issuing, marking, and storing of equipment, and submitting an annual inventory and current records. They will coordinate all equipment processing with the equipment manager, monitor locker rooms, equipment room, training room, and coaches' offices, and authorize access. The coach is responsible for securing all doors, lights, and windows before leaving the building and coordinating with custodial staff. A key aspect of the role is instilling in players a respect for equipment and school property, its care, and proper use. Requirements

Valid Arizona Teacher Certification or Substitute Certificate required.
Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and willingness to examine new theories and procedures.
CPR certified.
Current, valid IVP Level One fingerprint clearance card without restrictions at the time of hire.
Able and willing to drive a district vehicle to transport students to matches and serve as the team's supervising adult.
Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
