Lay Coach - JV Volleyball Coach
About The Position
Tavares High School is seeking a Lay Coach for their JV Volleyball team. The school is located near downtown Tavares, known as "America's Seaplane City," with a seaplane base on Lake Dora. The school serves approximately 1,500 students and 80 teachers. The mission of Tavares High School is to prepare students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners who will make positive contributions to society. Supplements for cleared and hired lay coaches are paid as a one-time payment upon completion of activity and satisfactory inventory, after a sport/season has concluded. Applicants must apply and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). Costs associated with becoming a Lay Coach, to be paid by the applicant prior to hire, include FLDOE Certification Fees ($75.00), Fingerprinting ($82.00), Drug Test Fee ($20.00), and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (Varies), totaling $177+. New hires will be contacted by Human Resources for paperwork, certification, and testing requirements. This role does not provide employment visa sponsorship. Requirements
- Apply and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
