Lay Coach - JV Football Coach
About The Position
Leesburg High School is seeking a Lay Coach for JV Football. The school emphasizes a student-centered approach with high expectations and achievement, aiming to graduate students who are college and career-ready. Leesburg High School, established in 1927, retains its Spanish-architectural influence and old Florida charm, serving a diverse student population with strong community ties. Supplements for cleared and hired lay coaches are paid as a one-time payment upon completion of activity and satisfactory inventory, after a sport/season has concluded. To become a new Lay Coach for Lake County Schools, applicants must apply for and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). Applicants will incur costs for certification fees, fingerprinting, drug testing, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification prior to being approved for hire.
Requirements
- Eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)
- Pay associated costs for FLDOE Certification Fees ($75.00)
- Pay associated costs for Fingerprinting ($82.00)
- Pay associated costs for Drug Test Fee ($20.00)
- Obtain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (cost varies)
- Submit DD Form 214, Disability Ratings, Marriage Verification, etc. if claiming Veterans' Preference
Responsibilities
- Coach JV Football
