About The Position
This position is for a Lay Coach for the Boys' Golf Head Coach for the 2026-2027 school year at Eustis High School. Supplements for cleared and hired lay coaches are paid as a one-time payment upon completion of activity and satisfactory inventory, after a sport/season has concluded. Applicants must apply and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). Costs associated with becoming a Lay Coach, to be paid by the applicant prior to hire, include FLDOE Certification Fees ($75.00), Fingerprinting ($82.00), Drug Test Fee ($20.00), and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (Varies), totaling $177+.
Requirements
- Apply and be eligible for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
- Pay associated costs for certification, fingerprinting, drug test, and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
- Submit required documentation for Veterans' Preference if applicable (DD Form 214, Disability Ratings, Marriage Verification, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Head Coach for the Boys' Golf team.
- Complete activity and satisfactory inventory after the sport/season has concluded.
- Meet all requirements for Athletic Coaching certification through the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
- Complete new hire paperwork, certification, and fingerprinting/drug testing requirements.
