About The Position

The Lawn Maintenance Foreman leads lawn maintenance crews and performs lawn care and landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming edges, blowing trimmings, and weeding. The role operates landscape maintenance equipment and assists with loading, unloading, and daily inspections of trucks and trailers. The foreman follows company policies and applicable local health and safety regulations and communicates politely and courteously with customers. This is a full-time opportunity with a starting hourly wage of $22.00 or more. Seasonal overtime is available. The position is based at the employer’s Ferndale location.

Requirements

Good work ethic and ability to work well with the crew as a team player.
Two to three years of experience in the landscape, construction, or grounds maintenance industry.
Ability to safely and responsibly operate required equipment, including zero-turn mowers and walk-behind mowers, and landscaping tools.
Time-management skills.
Knowledge of the materials, methods, tools, and equipment needed to complete various lawn maintenance tasks.
Valid chauffeur’s license and medical certification.

Responsibilities

Lead lawn maintenance crews.
Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, weed, perform landscaping, and carry out other lawn care duties.
Operate landscape maintenance equipment, including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, chain saws, and snow blowers.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers and perform daily morning and evening inspections.
Comply with company policies and applicable local health and safety laws and regulations.
Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.
