About The Position

The Lawn Maintenance Crew Member provides lawn care services for residential and commercial properties, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and site clean-up. The role requires safe and competent operation of zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, and blowers, along with supporting the maintenance and upkeep of lawn care equipment.

During winter months, the position transitions to general labor and snow removal, including shoveling snow, clearing walkways, and occasionally operating an RTV as part of the downtown snow removal crew. The role also provides on-call mechanic support for winter operations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Competency operating a zero-turn mower, trimmer, and blower.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with equipment repairs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and winter on-call shifts.
• Ability to reliably report to job sites and follow route assignments.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in lawn care or groundskeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing at client properties according to service expectations.
• Operate lawn care equipment safely and efficiently, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Follow assigned routes and property lists to complete tasks on time.
• Clean up debris and maintain a neat, professional appearance at each property.
• Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of equipment used in daily operations.
• Identify and report property issues or hazards to the Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead or Manager.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors.
• Operate snow removal equipment as trained and authorized.
• Shovel snow from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, and other designated areas.
• Assist with snow removal and ice prevention to maintain safe walking and working conditions.
• Serve as an on-call support mechanic for equipment issues during winter shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
