About The Position

The Lawn Maintenance Crew Member provides lawn care services for residential and commercial properties, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and site cleanup. The role involves safely operating lawn care equipment and assisting with equipment maintenance and minor repairs. During winter months, duties shift to general labor and snow removal, including shoveling snow, clearing walkways, and occasionally operating an RTV as part of the downtown snow removal crew. The position also provides on-call mechanical support for winter operations as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Competency operating a zero-turn mower, trimmer, and blower.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with equipment repairs.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and winter on-call shifts.
Ability to reliably report to job sites and follow route assignments.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in lawn care or groundskeeping is preferred.

Responsibilities

Mow, trim, edge, and blow at client properties according to service expectations.
Safely and efficiently operate lawn care equipment, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Follow assigned routes and property lists to complete tasks on time.
Clean up debris and leave properties with a neat, professional appearance.
Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of equipment used in daily operations.
Identify and report property issues or hazards to the Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead or Manager.
Work professionally and cooperatively with crew members and supervisors.
Operate snow removal equipment when trained and authorized.
Shovel snow from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, and other designated areas.
Assist with snow removal and ice prevention to maintain safe walking and working conditions.
Provide on-call mechanical support for equipment issues during winter shifts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
