About The Position

Lawn Care Technicians perform landscaping maintenance and snow removal duties where applicable to keep communities well-maintained and presentable. The role includes lawn mowing, weed control, planting, debris removal, equipment maintenance, and customer service for residents and guests. Work takes place outdoors and may involve seasonal temperatures.

Requirements

Some high school education required.
Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
Ability to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures.
Valid driver's license.
Proficiency operating hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
Ability to provide legible written reports.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous lawn care experience in the resort or hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools.
Manicure lawns; treat weeds, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers and shrubs, spread mulch, woodchips, or stones, trim shrubs and hedges, and cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather.
Inspect irrigation systems regularly and repair them as needed.
Pick up trash and debris from common areas and streets daily, and empty common-area trash containers as needed.
Maintain community equipment.
Report community maintenance issues and concerns identified during daily duties to the manager.
Keep the community presentable and compliant with Flagship Communities curb appeal standards.
Safely operate vehicles to perform job duties.
Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Provide quality customer service to residents and guests.
