About The Position

Lawn Technicians perform landscaping maintenance and, where applicable, snow removal to keep communities well-maintained and presentable. Duties include mowing, weed control, planting, debris removal, and other grounds care, while providing quality customer service to residents and guests. The role involves constant outdoor work and requires safe operation of vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

Some high school education is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
Ability to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures.
Valid driver's license.
Proficiency operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
Ability to provide legible written reports.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous lawn care experience in the resort or hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools.
Maintain manicured lawns by treating weeds, weed whipping, raking leaves, planting flowers and shrubs, spreading mulch, woodchips, or stones, and trimming shrubs and hedges.
Cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather and perform other lawn care services as needed.
Regularly inspect irrigation systems and repair them as needed.
Pick up trash and debris from common areas and streets daily, and empty common-area trash containers as needed.
Maintain community equipment.
Report community maintenance issues and concerns identified during daily duties to the manager.
Keep the community presentable and compliant with Flagship Communities curb appeal standards.
Safely operate vehicles to perform job duties.
Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
