Decatur - Lawn Care Technician / Specialist
About The Position
Naturescape of Decatur, IL is seeking to hire a Lawn Care Specialist to provide our customers with outstanding services for their residential and commercial properties. This role involves independent work in the great outdoors, managing a route and transforming landscapes. You will perform precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You will also act as a consultant and problem-solver, communicating with customers about their landscape needs. Adaptability is key, as the role involves seasonal pivots, including snow removal in winter. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Motivated with a desire to learn
- Willingness to be coached
- Can-do attitude

- Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, landscaper, groundskeeper, or lawn mower.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding services for residential and commercial properties.
- Manage a route and transform landscapes.
- Complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control.
- Act as the face of the company in the field, serving as a consultant and problem-solver.
- Assess lawn health and landscape needs.
- Communicate clearly and kindly with clients.
- Pivot to snow removal and other winter work during the off-season.
- Obtain and maintain state pesticide certifications.
