About The Position

Naturescape of Wausau, WI is seeking to hire a Lawn Care Specialist to provide our customers with outstanding services for their residential and commercial properties. This role offers a career in lawn and landscape care with a stable, family-owned business, and the opportunity to be a valued and respected member of a close-knit team. You will be the face of our company in the field, managing a route and transforming landscapes. Your "office" changes daily as you navigate to residential and commercial properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You will also act as a consultant and problem-solver, explaining the benefits of services and ensuring clients are happy, informed, and confident. Adaptability is key, as you will pivot to snow removal in the winter to ensure customers stay safe and mobile. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. We value a "learning by doing" approach and encourage growth and development.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Motivated with a desire to learn
  • Willingness to obtain state pesticide certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, landscaper, groundskeeper, or lawn mower.
  • Willingness to relocate for management opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding lawn and landscape care services for residential and commercial properties.
  • Manage a route and transform landscapes.
  • Navigate to properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control.
  • Act as a consultant and problem-solver for customer landscape needs.
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with clients, explaining services and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Adapt to seasonal changes, including performing snow removal in winter.
  • Obtain and maintain state pesticide certifications.
  • Engage in continuous learning and skill development.
