Appleton - Lawn Care Technician / Specialist
About The Position
Naturescape of Appleton, WI is seeking to hire a Lawn Care Specialist to provide our customers with outstanding services for their residential and commercial properties. This role offers a career in lawn and landscape care with a stable, family-owned business, where you will be a valued and respected member of a close-knit team. The position involves independent work in the great outdoors, with typical workdays of 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, though variations due to weather and customer needs may occur. Your "office" changes daily as you navigate to residential and commercial properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You will also serve as the face of the company, acting as a consultant and problem-solver for customer inquiries. Adaptability is key, as the role pivots to snow removal during winter months. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. The company emphasizes continuous learning and development, encouraging a "learning by doing" approach.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Motivated with a desire to learn
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, landscaper, groundskeeper, or lawn mower.
Responsibilities
- Manage a route and transform landscapes.
- Navigate to residential and commercial properties.
- Complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control.
- Act as the face of the company in the field.
- Serve as a consultant and problem-solver for customer inquiries.
- Assess lawn health and landscape needs.
- Build rapport with customers.
- Pivot to snow removal during winter months.
- Obtain and maintain state pesticide certifications.
