Lawn Care and Growth Specialist

Joshua Tree Experts•Salt Lake City, UT
•Onsite

About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts is expanding its lawn care services in the Salt Lake City area and seeks an experienced, growth-minded team member to help build the division. This is more than a seasonal lawn technician role: the specialist performs lawn treatments, serves customers, and helps generate new business. During the lawn care season, the role focuses on fertilizer and weed-control applications, customer relationships, and business development. During the off-season and slower periods, work includes customer acquisition, neighborhood canvassing, lead generation, training, equipment preparation, and preparing for the upcoming season. The company intends for the role to become a long-term, year-round position, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility and leadership as the division grows. The specialist will work independently on daily service routes, communicate with homeowners, maintain accurate service records and equipment, and contribute feedback to improve the developing lawn care division. The company expects the employee to be comfortable initiating conversations with prospective customers and working toward customer-growth goals without using high-pressure sales tactics. Performance incentives and additional compensation opportunities are available for helping grow the business. The role requires outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions and the ability to lift and carry equipment and application materials. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required. Lawn care or related industry experience is preferred; previous lawn application experience and knowledge of Utah turf and weeds are strongly preferred. A Utah pesticide applicator license is preferred, or the employee must be willing and able to obtain required licensing.
