About The Position

Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Law and Motion Attorney to join its Las Vegas, Nevada office. The role requires admission to the Nevada Bar and one to seven years of experience drafting substantive motions and oppositions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment, as well as assisting with related appeals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in legal research and motion practice in state and federal courts, understands legal procedures, and communicates effectively in writing. The successful candidate will conduct legal research, analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to develop legal arguments, monitor changes in laws and precedents, and draft, file, and argue motions and related briefs and memoranda in state and federal courts. The attorney will also prepare and respond to pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs. Lewis Brisbois offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Requirements

Admission to the Nevada Bar.
One to seven years of experience drafting substantive motions and oppositions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment.
Strong background in legal research and motion practice in state and federal courts.
Deep understanding of legal procedures.
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Proven success in drafting and winning motions in court.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency using legal research software and tools.
