About The Position

Manage the administrative operations of the College of Law's clinical and experiential learning programs by coordinating clinic operations, supporting faculty and students, administering program processes, and fostering partnerships that support experiential legal education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years work-related experience
  • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
  • Notary Public or ability to obtain within 60 days

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the College of Law's legal clinics and Business Planning Practicum, coordinating services for faculty directors and supporting student clinicians.
  • Oversee clinic operations, including office administration, technology, facilities, supplies, scheduling, website maintenance, and coordination of orientations, seminars, and other program events.
  • Coordinate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training for student directors, interns, and work-study legal assistants, including management of the Symplicity recruitment platform.
  • Administer client and case management systems, including client intake, case files, conflict checks, records retention, reporting, and compliance with university, legal, and professional standards.
  • Manage clinic financial and administrative functions, including operating and IOLTA trust accounts, malpractice insurance renewals, and support for student practice certification and legal documentation.
  • Assist with the administration of the Law School Externship Program by coordinating student placements, maintaining program records and WyoCourses, supporting students, and cultivating relationships with employers and field placement partners.
  • Coordinate transportation and fleet operations for statewide clinical programs by managing driver authorizations, vehicle reservations, and fleet reporting in collaboration with UW Fleet Services and Risk Management.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in performance-related goal setting and achievement to meet personal and organizational goals and objectives.
  • Attend and participate in training and other personal professional development activities.
