About The Position

Messerli Kramer, a leading law firm in the Twin Cities founded in 1965 with locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Plymouth, Minnesota, is seeking a 2-3L law clerk for its downtown Minneapolis full-service law firm for summer 2027. The firm is known for its dedication and responsiveness, with attorneys and staff focused on finding pragmatic solutions and producing remarkable results for clients. The law clerk will have the opportunity to work with different attorneys in all practice groups, including corporate, finance, business litigation, family law, and real estate. Requirements

  • 2+ years of law school
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with and take direction from multiple individuals, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to client service
  • Good planning, prioritization, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, editing, and formatting legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, corporate resolutions, and handling new business entities.
  • Assisting with the preparation and filing of corporate documents, such as annual reports, business licenses, and other regulatory filings.
  • Proactively ensuring that the legal team is prepared with necessary materials for closings, hearings, meetings, etc.
  • Conducting research and miscellaneous projects from other departments including real estate, litigation, and family law.
