About The Position

Lerners LLP is seeking a Law Clerk to support the Personal Injury Group. The ideal candidate will have over three (3) years of experience working in a similar position. This is a Hybrid position and requires a minimum of three (3) days per week in office. Requirements

Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent education and experience
At least three years of experience as a litigation Law Clerk
Experience in Personal Injury or strongly preferred
A keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
A strong work ethic
The ability to work effectively on a team and individually
Excellent communication skills
Experience with technology and working in a hybrid environment

Nice To Haves

Experience working with Primafact, Document Management Systems and OneDrive is an asset

Responsibilities

General management of personal injury files for both tort and accident benefit claims
Acting as liaison between team and client
Drafting correspondence, applications, and court documents; summarizing medical records and other records; creating medical chronologies; identifying issues; managing client productions and satisfying undertakings; and generally advancing personal injury claims
Preparing Assessable and Non-assessable disbursement lists and accounts
Trial and other hearing preparation
Maintaining an effective BF system
Electronic file management
Independently applying approved AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of work, exercising judgment in determining appropriate use cases, and ensuring outputs meet professional standards before use or distribution
Other duties as required
