About The Position
Malman Law is seeking current 1L and 2L law students for a Part-Time Law Clerk position supporting multiple practice areas, including Personal Injury (Pre-Litigation & Litigation), Workers’ Compensation, and Nursing Home/Medical Malpractice. The position is part-time, with a maximum of 20 hours per week, and is fully in-office in the Chicago Loop. This role is specifically for current 1L or 2L JD students only.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an ABA-accredited JD program (1L or 2L)
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor
Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents (complaints, motions, discovery, demand letters)
- Conduct legal research
- Review and summarize medical records
- Assist with case preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Provide general support to attorneys and legal staff
