Requirements

  • JD required.
  • Required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Must be an active member of the Utah Bar.
  • Knowledge of the topic (State & Local Government).
  • Significant teaching experience.
  • Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a course on State & Local Government: This course is an introduction to the interrelationship among national, state, and local governments and the powers of each, as well as examination of separation-of-powers principles and impact of political process at state and local level.
  • Address questions related to the class outside of class time.
  • Determine time taught based on applicant's schedule.
