About The Position

This role involves ensuring the proper washing and drying of linen to maintain high standards of quality. The individual will operate laundry equipment, manage cleaning agents, monitor machine performance, and adhere to safety and security procedures.

Requirements

Ability to operate washing and drying equipment.
Knowledge of measuring and administering cleaning agents.
Understanding of setting proper drying and cooling times.
Ability to clean machines and surrounding areas.
Knowledge of safety and security procedures and rules.
Adherence to all policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Experience reporting accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor.
Experience reporting substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisors.
Knowledge of department for prevention and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

Assure the proper washing and drying of linen to maintain high standards of quality.
Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload textiles from machines.
Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to formulas provided.
Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are foil, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
Clean up machines and surrounding areas.
Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor.
Reports substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisors.
Knows department for prevention and emergency procedures.
Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
Adheres to all policies and procedures.
