About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role involves processing laundry, operating equipment, following infection control and universal precautions, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. Employees should be able to perform routine tasks, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership. Residency within the service area is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to work around cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
