About The Position

The Laundry Wash Attendant supports daily laundry operations by sorting, washing, and drying linens in accordance with cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. The role involves proper machine operation, accurate load handling, and maintaining a reliable flow of clean linens for the operation. The position is full-time and based in Santa Barbara at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore. The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work a full shift standing.
Ability to read and write in English.
Knowledge of commercial laundry.
At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

Sort soiled linens into appropriate wash categories and identify stained or damaged items.
Load and unload washers and dryers, ensuring proper load weights.
Prepare wet linens for finishing by shaking, straightening, and feeding sheets, table linens, and napkins into ironing equipment.
Select appropriate wash cycles and chemical formulas for each linen type, transfer washed items to dryers, and monitor load size and drying times based on fabric and weight.
Deliver clean, dried linens to designated areas for folding or further processing.
Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including cleaning lint traps, following start-up and shut-down procedures, and promptly reporting equipment issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area with necessary chemicals and supplies readily available.
Maintain accurate daily records of laundry activities.
Keep the work area clean, tidy, and compliant with Four Seasons standards.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in training to enhance technical and behavioral skills.
Work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Function under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
