About The Position

The Laundry Wash Attendant supports daily laundry operations by efficiently sorting, washing, and drying a variety of linens in accordance with cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. The role ensures proper machine operation, accurate load handling, and consistent output to maintain a smooth, reliable flow of clean linens for the operation. The position is based at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore in Santa Barbara and will contribute to the reopening of the newly remodeled resort. The successful candidate will work a flexible schedule that may include morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to stand for a full shift.
Ability to read and write in English.
Knowledge of commercial laundry.
At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Sort soiled linens into appropriate wash categories and identify stained or damaged items.
Accurately load and unload washers and dryers while ensuring proper load weights.
Prepare wet linens for finishing by shaking, straightening, and feeding sheets, table linens, and napkins into ironing equipment.
Select correct wash cycles and chemical formulas for each linen type.
Transfer washed items to dryers and monitor load size and drying times based on fabric and weight.
Deliver clean, dried linens to designated areas for folding or further processing.
Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including routine cleaning and clearing lint traps; follow start-up and shut-down procedures and promptly report equipment issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, ensuring necessary chemicals and supplies are available.
Maintain accurate daily records of laundry activities.
Keep the work area clean, tidy, and compliant with Four Seasons standards.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in training sessions to enhance technical and behavioral skills.
Work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Function under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
