About The Position

The Laundry Tech is responsible for the complete process of handling soiled and clean linens. This includes receiving, sorting, and washing soiled linen from various areas within and outside the medical center. The role involves operating and loading/unloading various laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, folders, ironers, and hot patches. Additionally, the Laundry Tech processes clean linens for distribution to patient care, ancillary departments, and off-campus facilities, and is responsible for preparing, delivering, and picking up linens from these locations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for receiving, sorting and washing of soiled linen from areas within and outside of the medical center.
Responsible for loading and unloading of washers and dryers, folding linens and operating various laundry equipment including: washers, dryers, folders, ironer and hot patches.
Processes clean linens for distribution to patient care, ancillary departments and outside facilities.
Prepares, delivers and picks up linens from areas within the medical center, and from off campus facilities.
