About The Position

The Laundry Supervisor works at the Texas Civil Commitment Center in Littlefield, Texas, operated by Management & Training Corporation. The role directly supervises staff and clients assigned to the laundry and oversees laundry operations and client property and package handling. Responsibilities include planning laundering schedules, ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment, and maintaining laundry-operation records in accordance with Management & Training Corporation and Texas Civil Commitment Office directives. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, eight-hour days, and pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent, or a GED.
A valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
Ability to meet the physical demands of long periods of walking and standing, pushing and pulling laundry carts, and lifting laundry bags weighing up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a laundry- or supply-related field.
Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Process incoming and outgoing client property.
Maintain an inventory of client property.
Receive and track client mail and packages, including traveling to the post office when needed.
Supervise the operation of laundry equipment and perform routine and preventative equipment maintenance.
Conduct training programs in all phases of laundry operation.
Directly supervise staff and clients assigned to the laundry.
Plan laundering schedules and maintain laundry-operation records in compliance with MTC and TCCO directives.
