About The Position

Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare Community is seeking a full-time laundry aide to support facility operations. The primary purpose of the position is to perform the department’s day-to-day activities as directed by the Supervisor. On-the-job training is provided. The employee must learn to use laundry equipment to wash and dry linen and follow applicable safety measures.

Requirements

• Read, write, and understand instructions.
• Demonstrate time-management and organizational skills.
• Work well with team members and demonstrate interpersonal skills.
• Follow proper infection-control protocols.
• Maintain the care and use of supplies.
• Move intermittently throughout the day.
• Push, pull, move, or lift at least 25 pounds to a minimum height of five feet.
• Push, pull, move, or carry weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day department activities as directed by the Supervisor.
• Label or mark residents’ personal clothing and other articles for laundry with identifying information, such as a name, barcode, or reference number, as appropriate.
• Record production and inventory information in accordance with facility policies, including laundry pounds and loads.
• Prepare linen and supply orders to meet established par levels, as directed by the Laundry Supervisor, and replenish stock or replace frayed or torn items.
• Attend department and staff meetings as directed or called.
• Complete tasks according to daily work assignments and perform non-routine assignments as directed.
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures and facility policies.
• Learn to operate equipment used to wash and dry linen and follow safety measures.
