About The Position

The Laundry Fleet Manager will oversee the full laundry transportation fleet, including single- and dual-axle tractors, trailers, box trucks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling equipment. This role also manages the team of drivers responsible for all delivery operations. The manager will ensure all applicable team members meet high standards for safety, troubleshoot fleet issues, schedule routes and deliveries to multiple properties, and utilize computer software for work orders and company programs. The position requires adherence to safety regulations from various agencies (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.), performing minor repairs, demonstrating safe work practices, overseeing union-represented drivers, managing schedules, conducting inspections, and overseeing the random drug testing program. The manager must also participate in safety training, communicate professionally via email, meet deadlines without direct monitoring, delegate tasks, be flexible with additional hours, handle equipment over 50lbs, mentor entry-level positions, support policy compliance, interview potential drivers, and be able to drive vehicles for troubleshooting or movement.

Requirements

  • Extensive vehicle maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial fleet equipment including single and dual axle tractors, trailers, box trucks, forklifts, scissor lifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for the fleet.
  • Strong knowledge scheduling routes and deliveries to 11 or more properties in Southern Nevada including Laughlin on a daily basis.
  • Strong computer skills and software knowledge.
  • Periodic use of electronic MMS work order systems, and company specific programs.
  • Must be able to observe and practice all safety requirements of Department of Transportation and all other applicable regulating agencies.
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory requirements as applicable from OSHA, DOT, City of North Las Vegas, SNHD, EPA, NRS, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and similar regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to handle tools, supplies and equipment exceeding 50lbs, utilizing tool assistance as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Be able to obtain a Class A CDL driver license with a “T” endorsement
  • Strong computer skills (MS products including Excel)
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full laundry transportation fleet, including single- and dual-axle tractors, trailers, box trucks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Manage the team of drivers responsible for all delivery operations.
  • Oversee and facilitate equipment training ensuring all applicable team members meet Caesars high standards for safety.
  • Troubleshoot fleet issues and malfunctions, resolving minor issues on sight or understanding when it becomes necessary to outsource repairs.
  • Schedule routes and deliveries to 11 or more properties in Southern Nevada including Laughlin on a daily basis ensuring staff is properly assigned to the correct functions to meet the demands of the daily orders.
  • Observe and practice all safety requirements of Department of Transportation and all other applicable regulating agencies.
  • Use small hand tools to perform various small repairs to trailers used for transport.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices with a solid understanding of safety requirements when working with commercial vehicles.
  • Oversee the team of union represented delivery drivers, manage schedules, establish routine PM scheduling and ensure all daily and weekly inspections are conducted efficiently and properly.
  • Manage the random drug testing program requirements enforced on commercially licensed drivers.
  • Participate in all company provided safety training and follow all required safety guidelines and processes established in the department.
  • Communicate professionally in all email correspondence.
  • Hit deadlines and complete job tasks as set by leadership without direct monitoring or oversight.
  • Oversee and delegate supervisory and lead level team members in their daily job duties and assignments.
  • Handle tools, supplies and equipment exceeding 50lbs, utilizing tool assistance as needed.
  • Mentor and develop any entry level positions and own the responsibility of their exposure and progress if assigned.
  • Support team compliance to company and department policies and procedures.
  • Issue discipline for violations to those procedures.
  • Interview potential candidates to join the team as deliver drivers with commercial drivers license.
  • Drive vehicles personally for movement around the property or to perform troubleshooting.
