About The Position

The Laundry Engineer Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and basic diagnosis of all equipment in the Laundry Facility. The primary objective is to keep and maintain all equipment in the facility in good, clean operating order. This role also involves maintaining building and support functions for the laundry facility as required by the Chief Engineer.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ 5 years experience maintaining various laundry equipment or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical fields.
  • Ability to read an electrical schematic.
  • Must possess basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and a basic knowledge of three-phase power.
  • Ability to perform mechanical tasks such as changing pumps or motors.
  • Ability to work, and think, on their own with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Oral Communication – Ability to convey thoughts and instructions clearly and definitively so all personnel involved understand the message. Be able to do this respectfully. Must be able to inform others if instructions given are not understood.
