About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Laundry Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial laundry equipment and related utility systems that support resort-wide linen operations. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring a continuous supply of clean guest room linens, towels, pool towels, spa linens, and banquet linens. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll support Kalahari Resort’s standards for safety, reliability, efficiency, and guest service by minimizing downtime and maintaining laundry systems in peak operating condition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in commercial laundry, hospitality, resort, healthcare, institutional, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot commercial washers, dryers, ironers, folders, pumps, motors, valves, and controls.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders, email, and maintenance recordkeeping.
  • Proven ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions in a fast-paced resort environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic work order systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and emergency call-in situations as required by resort operations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, vendors, and operating departments.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial laundry equipment used in high-volume resort operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on washers, dryers, ironers, folders, presses, conveyors, pumps, motors, belts, bearings, valves, and related equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain supporting systems, including hot water, drainage, compressed air, and chemical dispensing systems.
  • Diagnose failures involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.
  • Maintain equipment that supports the processing of guest room linen, food and beverage linen, spa linen, and waterpark towels.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on resort operations and guest service.
