We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our laundry team Perform all laundry production activities, including washing, folding, ironing, sorting, and more. Ensure there are adequate supplies of linen for the daily needs of the facility. Responsibilities Laundry Technician Wage: $11.50/hour Full-time position available Afternoon/Evening shift available Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required Location: Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center Responsibilities Process clean and soiled laundry in a timely manner Receive, weigh, and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers Sort, fold, and iron clean laundry Pack and transport clean laundry to deliver throughout the facility Record linen usage and maintain accurate inventory records Ensure linen quality is satisfactory, and report any quality issues Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas Follow all HHS linen procedures and best practices Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform Preferred: Laundry experience (linen utilization, cleaning, custodian, janitorial, healthcare) Physical Requirements Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job Benefits We offer flexible schedules, excellent training, competitive wages, work-life balance, job satisfaction, and promotion opportunities.
