About The Position

This role is responsible for providing laundry services for approximately 14-16 resident apartments daily. The Laundry Aide will collect, process, and return residents' laundry, ensuring items are kept separate and organized. In addition to laundry duties, the position involves making beds and assisting the housekeeping team with various tasks to maintain community cleanliness and resident satisfaction. Collaboration with housekeeping staff is essential to ensure apartments are cleaned and laundry is completed efficiently. Specific responsibilities include cleaning vacant apartments, shampooing carpets, and other housekeeping projects as directed, particularly on Fridays.

Requirements

• Ability to collect and transport residents' laundry, including clothing, linens, laundry baskets, hangers, detergent, dryer sheets, and other laundry-related items.
• Ability to sort and process each resident's laundry separately.
• Ability to wash, dry, fold, and hang clothing and linens.
• Ability to return clean laundry to resident rooms and put away items.
• Ability to make beds.
• Ability to assist with housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Ability to perform common area and building cleaning tasks.
• Ability to shampoo carpets.
• Ability to clean and prepare vacant apartments.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Clean and complete laundry services for approximately 14-16 resident apartments daily.
• Strip bed linens and remove all laundry from resident rooms.
• Collect and transport residents' laundry, including clothing, linens, laundry baskets, hangers, detergent, dryer sheets, and other laundry-related items provided by the resident.
• Sort and process each resident's laundry separately to ensure items remain individualized and organized.
• Wash, dry, fold, and hang clothing and linens as appropriate.
• Return clean laundry to resident rooms and put away items in designated closets, drawers, or storage areas.
• Make beds and assist the housekeeping team as needed.
• Complete any missed apartment cleanings from the week (Fridays).
• Perform common area and building cleaning tasks (Fridays).
• Shampoo carpets as assigned (Fridays).
• Clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents (Fridays).
• Assist with other housekeeping projects as directed.
