About The Position

The Laundry Attendant processes soiled linens and distributes clean linens to maintain a consistent supply for hotel operations. The role involves operating laundry equipment, keeping the work area clean and safe, and ensuring finished linens meet quality standards. The position is part-time and reports to the Executive Housekeeper. The work takes place primarily indoors in a laundry facility, with exposure to varying temperatures. It requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 75 pounds, as well as frequent bending and extended periods of standing. A flexible schedule is required, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on hotel needs. Requirements

Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironers.
Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.

Prior experience in laundry operations is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide professional and courteous service.
Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers.
Operate washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders to process linen.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Place folded linen and terry cloth in designated storage areas.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area.
Notify a supervisor or manager of equipment malfunctions, damaged linens, or supply needs.
Follow hotel safety standards and use only approved chemicals.
Perform routine laundry tasks and help ensure operational efficiency.
