About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team at the Marriott Colorado Springs. The cleanliness and comfort of our hotel is one of the single biggest reasons guests choose to return and recommend us to the people they care about. As a Laundry Attendant, you are a critical part of making that happen. Your work is what allows every guest to sink into a bed that feels like it was made just for them, wrap up in a towel that smells clean and feels soft, and experience a level of care that goes well beyond what they expected. That is the kind of detail that turns a one-time guest into a loyal one.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is a plus, though we are willing to train the right person
  • A neat, pleasant, and professional demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail; you notice things others miss and take the time to get it right
  • Good time management skills and the ability to stay on task in a busy environment
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
  • Comfortable being on your feet and active throughout your entire shift
  • Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and follow chemical handling procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to stand and remain active on your feet for the full duration of a shift
  • Ability to safely push and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs. in tight spaces
  • Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable operating equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dustpans, scrub pads, and dusters
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as required by the schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping, laundry, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Washing, drying, ironing, and folding all guest room linens, as well as restaurant and catering linens, to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Keeping the laundry area and all common areas of the property clean, organized, and safe at all times
  • Performing daily cleaning of housekeeping and maintenance staff restrooms
  • Understanding and following proper procedures for the use of laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals, including all relevant safety protocols
  • Assisting housekeepers and housemen as needed to support the overall housekeeping operation
  • Engaging with guests in a warm and helpful way when paths cross, ensuring their stay is going well
  • Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to the appropriate team members promptly
  • Helping maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment for the entire team
  • Responding to fellow team members with a friendly, helpful attitude because how we treat each other is just as important as how we treat our guests
