About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning, sorting, drying, folding, inspecting, and distributing hotel linens and guest laundry. The role ensures that linens and fabrics meet cleanliness, quality, and presentation standards while supporting housekeeping operations and guest satisfaction. The attendant operates laundry equipment, maintains linen inventory and par levels, handles stains and damaged items, and keeps the laundry area clean and safe. The position also involves following safety, chemical-handling, housekeeping, and brand procedures; meeting productivity and quality expectations; and communicating with supervisors and team members.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or related experience.
• Experience in a hotel or commercial laundry setting.
• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Sort, classify, and separate linens by type, color, and condition.
• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to guidelines.
• Load and unload machines and select appropriate cycles.
• Monitor wash and dry cycles for quality and efficiency.
• Fold, stack, and organize clean linens according to established standards.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and remove or report items as needed.
• Treat stains using appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques.
• Maintain linen inventory and par levels.
• Distribute clean linens to housekeeping and other departments as needed.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow safety procedures and proper chemical-handling guidelines.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues.
• Use and care for laundry equipment properly.
• Assist with handling and processing guest laundry requests, if applicable.
• Adhere to housekeeping policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Meet linen-processing productivity and quality expectations.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding needs.
