About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the condition of all hotel linen in accordance with the standards of Sunridge through efficient cleaning and processing. This role involves meeting and exceeding customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork, and performing other duties as required to provide service and teamwork. The attendant must ensure maximum cleaning effectiveness by sorting laundry prior to washing, pulling damaged or stained linen, and operating machines to recommended capacities. Energy conservation is key, achieved by setting dryers for proper times and only drying appropriate linens. Equipment operation, maintenance, and cleaning are crucial, along with reporting any mechanical failures or supply shortages. All linen must be folded neatly for closets and storage areas. The role also requires adherence to hotel policies, punctuality, proper grooming, and minimizing safety hazards. The attendant must keep their supervisor informed of any issues and perform duties efficiently. Maintaining a positive working relationship with colleagues and projecting a favorable image of the company are essential. The role may involve other assigned duties and requires achieving required threshold scores according to brand and Sunridge inspections.

  • Informs supervisor or management of any mechanical failures or supply shortages, so corrective action can be implemented.
  • Folds all linen to closets and storage areas.
  • Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attends work on time as scheduled.
  • Follows hotel grooming and dress standards.
  • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • At all times projects a favorable image of Sunridge and the hotel to the public.
  • Performs such other ancillary and related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
