About The Position
A hotel laundry attendant is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and maintaining hotel linens and guest clothing while ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper operation of laundry equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of stain treatment and minor sewing repairs.
- Ability to track inventory and maintain stock levels.
- Understanding of hotel safety, hygiene, and chemical handling protocols.
Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, iron, fold, and sort hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing according to hotel standards.
- Pre-treat stains, perform minor sewing repairs, and report damaged items.
- Operate and maintain washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely; clean dryer filters and ensure all machinery is functional.
- Track laundry detergents, sewing kits, and other supplies; ensure proper stock levels.
- Deliver clean linens to guest rooms or housekeeping carts and collect soiled laundry from rooms.
- Assist with general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning public areas, vacuuming corridors, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Adhere to hotel safety, hygiene, and chemical handling protocols.
