About The Position

The Laundry Attendant processes bed linens, terry, and table linens by operating laundry and dry-cleaning machinery according to hotel standards. The role also involves cleaning, pressing, and finishing staff and guest garments, along with designated guest-room fabrics and articles. The attendant maintains quality and cleanliness standards, follows hotel and safety procedures, and supports housekeeping, banquet, restaurant, guest-room, and recreation-area needs.

Requirements

Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they can understand.
Knowledge of laundry and dry-cleaning equipment and chemical handling.
Knowledge of finishing techniques for all types of fabrics.

Responsibilities

Sort, pretreat, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens.
Inspect linens for tears or stains and reject or reclaim them as appropriate.
Mend and sew linens.
Fill banquet and restaurant linen requisitions.
Deliver guest service supplies to guest rooms.
Process contract-cleaned linens.
Restock housekeeping closets and carts.
Provide towel service to recreation areas.
Process bed linens, terry, and table linens by operating laundry and dry-cleaning machinery in accordance with hotel standards.
Clean, press, and finish staff and guest garments, as well as designated guest-room fabrics and articles.
Maintain quality and cleanliness standards throughout daily assignments.
Follow house, safety, housekeeping-room, and security procedures.
Use cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements, and use personal protective equipment according to hotel policies and procedures.
Cooperate with managers and supervisors to complete requests as soon as possible.
Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required by business operations.
