About The Position

The Laundry Attendant sorts, washes, dries, and puts away linens. The role also prepares rooms for housekeeping by removing linens and trash and starting the dishwasher. The attendant follows safety procedures, uses provided safety equipment, and handles and stores chemicals according to hotel regulations and applicable local requirements. The position includes guest service, reporting safety concerns and needed repairs, maintaining supplies, processing lost-and-found items, coordinating with other departments, and assisting with deep cleaning or other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, dry, and put away linens.
Prepare rooms for housekeeping by removing linens and trash and starting the dishwasher.
Wear provided safety protection equipment in accordance with department regulations and local requirements.
Handle and store chemicals according to hotel regulations and local requirements.
Greet and acknowledge guests.
Report needed repairs and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Follow established safety procedures at all times.
Immediately report health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
Respond to guest complaints and special requests, taking action to ensure guest satisfaction.
Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste in housekeeping areas.
Report, turn in, and/or log lost-and-found items according to established procedures.
Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments according to hotel procedures to ensure quality and service.
Assist with deep-cleaning projects as needed.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
