About The Position

The Laundry Aide performs day-to-day laundry services to ensure patients’ laundry needs are met in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The role includes handling laundry from collection through distribution, providing customer service to patients, and contributing to patient safety and facility operations.

Requirements

• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior health care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day laundry functions, including collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging, and distributing laundry.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Follow applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Perform competently in areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and others.
• Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information.
• Follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures, and adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct.
