About The Position

The Laundry Aide helps provide residents with clean, well-maintained linens and clothing to support their comfort and hygiene. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities include washing, drying, folding, organizing, and delivering laundry; maintaining laundry areas and equipment; following safety guidelines when handling detergents and chemicals; and handling residents’ clothing with care.

Requirements

Ability to follow verbal instructions and work efficiently in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure laundry is properly cleaned and organized.
Reliability, punctuality, and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Positive and cooperative attitude when working with residents, families, and staff.
Understanding of cleanliness and infection control in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Wash and dry resident and facility linens and clothing using household and industrial laundry equipment.
Fold and stack linens neatly and ensure proper storage and distribution.
Deliver clean linens and laundry promptly to resident rooms and facility areas.
Keep laundry areas and equipment clean and in good working condition.
Use approved laundry detergents and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
Deliver clothing directly to residents’ rooms and handle items with care.
